A Staging Consultation Success Story

This was definitely one of the more involved stages we’ve done so far, not only did we provide staging for a few rooms, but we also suggested updates like fresh paint and new lighting fixtures. This project initially started as a Staging Consultation, meaning we walked through the home with the realtor and homeowner and developed a custom staging plan for them to implement. We made recommendations anywhere we felt furniture rentals were needed, but the main focus of the plan was de-cluttering the home, a few key updates to make, and how to best work with their existing pieces. Any staging from us would just be icing on the cake to really freshen up the space.

This client was very open to our suggestions, and did a fantastic job following through on most, if not all of our recommendations. The primary bathroom was one of the rooms most in need of updates, and the updates they made really modernized the space and left it feeling fresh and inviting. We try to make our staging plans clear and easy to follow, so if you’re a list-lover like us, you’ll thrive with one of these in hand.

The living room and front entry were two spaces where the client did want to utilize our furniture rentals. The homeowners were using the entry space as a home office / music space, which made sense for their lifestyle, but for staging purposes we needed the entry to really make an impact. Similarly, in the living room they had an oversized sectional that provided a cozy spot for family movie night, but didn’t really do much to open up the space and help with the flow of the room. It’s always a balance staging a home when someone still lives there, since no one wants to feel like they’re living in a furniture store where they can’t relax and kick their feet up. But we do our best to use pieces that can handle a little wear and tear, so the family feels like they can still live their life.

The home had multiple offers after the first weekend with an open house and sold for $10k over listing price! This job not only led to repeat work with the realtor, who has been so wonderful to work with, but the homeowner also hired us to help with some design work at their new home. As much as we love staging and creating beautiful spaces, we also love the people we get to meet along the way.
