Home Stager’s Go-Tos
Every home stager has their go-to’s for a successful staging day. Kathryn and I have thought it through and narrowed down our top must haves for staging install days. These items help us stay organized and motivated while we work to make a home look its very best.
Get to Know Kate
Kate is our master bed maker, lover all of things organizing, and one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. She has the rare gift of making everyone feel seen and special, and never passes up an opportunity to have a good laugh. She’s a creative, styling genius, but can also make the most intense, thorough spreadsheet you’ve ever seen. We met as coworkers, quickly became best friends, and now I can’t imagine my life, or this business, without her. Hope you enjoy getting to know her a bit better!
Five Decor Favorites
It’s important to us that each stage feels unique and customized to the home we’re staging, but if you pay attention you’ll definitely notice some repeat offenders when it comes to our decor. We have a few tried and true favorites that we just can’t get enough of because they work well in a variety of spaces, and can be styled so many ways.
Staging a Model Home: Markham East
With the busy growth of Nashville, we find ourselves staging new construction homes quite a bit. Most of the color scheme in a new construction home are neutral whites and black finishes throughout. So we were excited when we stopped by the Markham East development, built by Legacy South, to see this development was having some fun with pops of color.
SketchUp for Home Staging
We are always fine tuning our process for staging homes; what works, what doesn’t, what can we make better, etc. There is one step in our process we’ve implemented since the beginning and will continue to do so, as it has proven to help us time and again. Today, I will share with you this go-to resource in preparing for a successful stage.
Oversized Bedroom Staging
This modern home in West Nashville was a fun one to stage, but not without it’s challenges. The oversized primary suite was definitely a huge selling point of the home, but proved to be a bit tricky when it came to staging.
Get To Know Kathryn
Today, I thought it would be fun to have a little get to know you sesh with my favorite person and business partner in crime, Kathryn. She lights up my day everyday, bringing her clever wit and genius ideas to make our business thrive. She has this ability to be thinking ahead and mastering efficiency all the while allowing her creativity to shine in designing a space that gets us amped up. I am thankful to get to know her and thought it’d be fun to share some bits for those that don’t.
A Staging Consultation Success Story
This was definitely one of the more involved stages we’ve done so far, not only did we provide staging for a few rooms, but we also suggested updates like fresh paint and new lighting fixtures. This project initially started as a Staging Consultation, meaning we walked through the home with the realtor and homeowner and developed a custom staging plan for them to implement.
Staging A Historic Home
It was definitely love at first sight for us with this historic home on Chicamauga Ave. From the fireplaces (four in total!) to the original pocket doors, this place was filled to the brim with charm.
