A Look Inside: Nashville’s Solaya at the Lanes

This thoughtfully crafted community offers a refreshing change from the popular tall, white-walled, new build homes we often encounter. With warm, neutral-toned walls, the space is enhanced by wallpaper, textured tiles, and natural materials that foster a comfortable and serene atmosphere. Charming window boxes with flowers add delightful touches to the street while you walk over to the spa center and greenway. This place truly stands out as a unique haven for single-family living in Nashville.

The Backstory

If you haven’t heard of this community yet, it’s time! Solaya at the Lanes offers so much, including several different floor plans to choose from. The model home showroom displays the beauty of the design selections perfectly, however, adding staging to a few of the other homes with differing floor plans + finishes, can help someone envision how they’d live in that particular space. That’s where we came in.

The Request

The one and only, Sheila Gerardy, gave us a call to come and stage a one of their available homes in the community. We’re always happy to get a call from Sheila, she has a vision and a plan on how to best execute the sale of a home, and this was no different. The specific request was to stage all rooms in the unit but make sure we keep to the design theme of the community and model home - organic, natural and soft textures. It needed to feel special, being one of their higher priced homes.

The Execution

We studied the model home and community vibe, so we could be confident in our design execution. We wanted to add to the space without creating anything that competed with the existing selections. We brought in earthy tones and a variety of textures to complement the space. Carefully planning the scale and style of the furniture to highlight the best flow for each room.

The Outcome

This particular home was under contract quickly and we even sold some of the furnishings with the home! Which is always a good way to feel confident that the right pieces were selected. Thanks to Sheila Gerardy and her team for the strategic input and direction, we completed the project and now are on to staging additional floor plans in the community, which I will look forward to sharing on the blog soon. If you are in need of staging additional floor plans in your development, give us a call. We love to complement the existing model home by staging these spec homes. This can help close the deal quickly, by staging with the same overall feel while solving issues with a funky floor plan or not as cute finishes. This is one of our specialities and we’d love to share with you how we can help!
