Staging Inside Look
An inside look into a home we staged in West Nashville. The west side of Nashville is a developing neighborhood with lots of new businesses and housing popping up all over. It’s a good area with a close proximity to downtown and other desirable hot spots. We were asked to stage a new construction, single family home, in this up and coming area. There were some cute details throughout the home and the layout was just right for a family. With a school right across the street, we figured staging with a family in mind was a good plan.
At the top of the second floor, was an opening into the bonus room. A great size with a black feature wall, we wanted to ensure this was the cozy go-to spot. The place where buyers can see themselves hanging out in there, watching tv and playing games. We brought in our large sectional that fit the space just right and used one of our favorite West Elm patterned knit rug to add some texture to the space. Added in an additional slope seat, some side tables and ottoman along with complimenting, cozy pillows and throw to bring the whole look together.
As you enter into the home, there is an office to your right with beautiful wood french doors to enter through. Offering a great place to work from and get some privacy while still having some great light coming through the front window. We brought in a large desk that fit the room, an accent chair facing the desk to feature the room’s size, as well as a little bar cart nook, to add a little fun to the office space. Top that off with an oversize art piece and it’s welcoming sight to see.
The main living space was an open concept with the kitchen and dining. We focused on using the space functionally for the potential buyer, proving a large sofa and 3 accent chairs, a dining table that seats 6 and four counter stools at the kitchen, all the while being sure our selections complement the features of the home. We were so happy with how it all came together but even more so thrilled to hear how happy our clients were when they saw the home.
The success of staging is proven in this stage. While the market was slow and the realtor was prepared for at least 60 days on the market, the home went under contract in under two weeks and closed quickly. As stagers, that is our goal and music to our ears. Now on to the next!
